Background

UniTech has been supplying Secretariat services for over 8 years and currently support two industry groups - TopComm and TopNetUK.

TopComm is an industry group comprising all the major UK fixed line telecommunications providers. such as BT, Virgin Media, Carphone Warehouse, and Tiscali, amongst other.

TopNetUK is an industry group comprising major mobile telecommunications providers such as Vodafone and Orange.

Services

The Secretariat role undertaken by UniTech provides:

  • Meetings facilitation and management, including compilation of minutes and agendas.
  • Administration
  • Complete document management
  • Collection, management and accounting of funds
  • Maintenance of contact lists
  • UK point of contact

ExtranetSecure Site

In order to facilitate the Secretariat role, UniTech supply and manage a secure extranet for the TopComm group which is updated on a daily basis; this has become a vital tool for members and contains:

  • Secure log-in for users
  • Forum documentation (minutes, agendas, governance documents)
  • Contacts database
  • Diary of events
  • Online accounts/forum funds tracking
  • News and events
  • Sub-sites for audit specific documentation
  • Individual member sub-sites for storage of member-sensitive documentation.

Project Management

Prince2So that we can provide the most pro-active and efficient service, the Secretariat role is fulfilled by a fully qualified PRINCE2 Project Manager. This ensures that UniTech consistently exceed their objectives and can make a valuable contribution to the group rather than simply provide an administration service.

UniTech also places and manages contracts on behalf of the groups.
